Release Notes

Is there anyone still using 2.0 or has everybody moved to .NET 3.5 and NETCF 3.5. Please comment at if you are still using FX2.0.
32feet.NET v3.4 - Personal Area Networking for .NET
Build 3.4.0429 29th April 2012

This library provides a .NET networking API for devices and desktop computers running the Microsoft or Broadcom/Widcomm Bluetooth stacks, Microsoft Windows supported IrDA devices and associated Object Exchange (OBEX) services for both these mediums. Online documentation is integrated into your Visual Studio help. The object model has been designed to promote consistency between Bluetooth, IrDA and traditional TCP/IP networking.

The most important new features since 3.3 are:
Description workitem
Provide callback on SelectBluetoothDeviceDialog to allow filtering of devices 32382
BluetoothDeviceInfo.GetVersions method 31324
Add Windows 8 enum values -- important for enum BluetoothDeviceInfoProperties as exposed by BluetoothWin32RadioInRangeEventArgs 32458
Bluetopia: Basic support for BluetoothListener 32634

The most important fixes since 3.3 are:
Description workitem
BluetoothWin32Events doesn't work on x64 31528
Support ObexWebRequest.Timeout on all NETCF stack (even MSFT+WM) 31822
Using the NETCF version on the desktop gives a unfriendly message: Unable to load DLL 'coredll.dll' 31434

The full list of workitems is at

Note For Widcomm, on desktop Windows make sure you copy the redist\btwapi.dll as well as the 32feetWidcomm.dll alongside your application. (Widcomm imply that they may sometimes install btwapi.dll themselves -- and not to install another copy if so. However I've never seen it installed by them).

No changes.
