Release Notes

This sample shows connecting Windows Phone 8 to a Serial Device (Bluetooth laser barcode scanner) and retrieving data delimited with a linefeed character. The app has been tested with a Motorola CS3070 scanner. You must pair the scanner with the phone first.

The 32feet.NET for Windows Phone library is available on NuGet for easy installation to a Windows Phone 8 project.

Windows Phone 8 supports Radio frequency communication (RFCOMM) protocol which is the base protocol for Serial Port Profile (SPP). So basically you can use SPP with Windows Phone. You can read additional info about Bluetooth profiles and protocols here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_profile#Serial_Port_Profile_.28SPP.29

I don't understand how you could pair Windows Phone 8 with Motorola Barcode Reader. Specifications for this scanner describe, that its support: "HID keyboard wedge and Serial Port Profile (SPP)". None of this profiles doesn't supported by Windows Phone 8. Please, help me, how you could pair this device with Windows Phone 8. Thank you.
